The UK re-offending rate for women is on average 60%.

58% of women re-offend within their first year of release.

Reduce Re-offence Rates

One of our key foundations is the reduction of the re-offence rate as we see this as being of fundamental importance to breaking cyclic crime.

This can only happen if the women who commit crimes can address the underlying issues around why they have committed a crime and if they are given tools to change the pattern of behaviour.

Reducing re-offence rates can be supported through rehabilitation, training, and education both in prisons and after leaving prison, good housing provision on leaving prison and on-going support and mentoring.
